Federal Signal Emergency Lights and the LED
Over the past few years, manufacturers of emergency lighting like Federal Signal have incorporated LEDs into Lights Bars for Police and Fire Vehicles. LEDs are slowly replacing or complimenting conventional lights such as rotating lights and strobe lights. Both the rotator, a motor driven light, and the strobe light, a high intensity light, are costly to maintain and are a heavy drain on the vehicle's battery.
